Starting off as an off-hand joke, The Life of Pablo (Pantscord Cut) is an accidental concept album made from songs within the original album of the near-same name and what was left on the cutting room floor during its production. A chronological prequel to Donda (Pantscord Cut), the edited album loosely follows the journey of a Christian person turning to one’s religious side to become a better person only to get swept up in hedonism like many before.

The album features Ye in a main role, as well as many guest appearances, including Paul McCartney, ASAP Ferg, Kendrick Lamar, Sampha, Bon Iver, The Weeknd and Jay-Z.
